About Vegan Recipes Online

Thank you for stopping by πŸ™‚ I am a 25 plus old from India living in Australia. Vegetarian by religion, but vegan by choice. I have more than 5000 recipes (99% Indian) and I have been trying to veganise and make them healthier. That’s the reason for the birth of this blog. πŸ™‚

Cape town

I have been vegan on and off for 2.5 years now but strictly vegan for an year now. I started vegan diet for health reasons (lose weight, get rid of my ovarian cysts) and get healthier but I would break down craving for cheese and feed on cheese for a day. This went on for very long when I decided I had to stop. Watched few documentaries on animal cruelty and I don’t think I can ever go back to non-vegan lifestyle. Lost more than 20 kilos, still got 15 more to reach the figure my doc gave me. I will be there in a year.Β By the end of this year, I hope to reach my goal weight, start running, travel to many more countries and make difference to the world.

Here is a link to all my recipes- Click hereΒ Enjoy πŸ™‚

  5. Hi, Thanks for stopping by. If you are a cheese craver, did you try making “nut” cheese? It’s super easy and quite yummy. Just process either macadamia nuts (for mozzarella) or cashews (for ricotta) 1 cup together with 1.5 tbsp lemon juice, 1/4 tsp salt, 1/4 cup water, 1 tbsp. nutritional yeast. Food process until ball or fluffy. Yum!

  11. Thanks so much for liking my Poha for breakfast. I do really love this dish. I was glad to be a vegetarian in India and not being worried about eating some strange animal body part, like you do in other countries! Trying to continue on with lots of yogurt and raita! Namaste. . . .. Anne

Lol πŸ™‚ Very true. When I visit India, it is the same. I hardly can get vegan food outside 😦 I have to make things up like ‘Am allergic to dairy’ and then it works. I have never been to the north of India. Would love to try poha some time πŸ™‚

      • I got to knew there existed so many vegan recipes only after seeing your blog… great effort πŸ™‚ Am trying to post some South Indian recipes which are authentic, try them and let me know πŸ™‚

      • Lol πŸ™‚ I have so many more to be documented πŸ™‚ Thanks. I will definitely try them πŸ™‚ Might be making sambar and kootu tonight πŸ™‚ Your blog was the inspiration πŸ™‚

  16. Than you for checking out my post! I’m glad that you have become a vegan. I have Indian friends in America and they are more or less vegetarian. They are, however, somewhat overweight and I believe it’s the dairy in their diets. Many people are discovering dairy products to be even more caustic to the human body than eating meats. I believe we were designed to eat a vegan diet and animals are our friends. Great job on your weight loss! I wish you great success on your journey of healing!
    -Ryan πŸ™‚

    • Hey Ryan, You are welcome πŸ™‚ Thanks for the comment. I have never had a piece of meat in my life and my weight was due to diary. I am losing it slow but steady πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ You have awesome photography skills. Your pics are outstanding πŸ™‚
